The Shady Blades are Mike Contreras on lead vocals, Ruben Sandoval on bass and backing vocals, Steve Sanchez on guitar and Shaun Hedgepeth on drums. We perform all your favorite classic alternative 100% live—no backing tracks. We started in the summer of 1991 on the southside of San Antonio, TX during the golden age of alternative music but broke up in the summer of 1993. We regrouped for a reunion show in the fall of 2015 and decided to return to performing full time in the fall of 2023.
